It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for the experts this season. Week Three was rough but things took a turn for the better in Week Four as our guys continue to get a handle on the season. The further we get, the more data we obtain, the better the experts will be able to spit out quality plays. Of course with that, comes the sites balancing out pricing to be more in line with production. Always looking for reader feedback so drop me a note in the comments!

On to the Week 4 grades, class is in session!

Consensus Recap – Week 4

The Industry Consensus with a bounceback week climbed to a 14th place finish overall. Below is a position by position breakdown of how the Consensus fared.

QB (Score: 3.38 / Rank 9th out of 21) – DeShaun Watson and his masterful performance helped boost the Consensus grade at the QB spot.

RB (Score: 3.83 / Rank T-11th out of 21) – The exact opposite of last week. This week’s score was much higher but the position of finish much lower. Three “A+” grades from Bilal Powell, Todd Gurley and Lamar Miller.

WR (Score: 2.88 / Rank 11th out of 21) – Nine of the 17 Consensus picks at the position finished with failing grades. The bight spots were Keenan Allen, DeAndre Hopkins, Tyrell Williams and Jaron Brown, all of which finished with “A+” grades.

TE (Score: 2.78 / Rank 15th out of 21) – Three of the nine finished with failing grades. Charles Clay was the lone “A+” score in the group.

D/ST (Score: 2.17 / Rank T-13th out of 20) – Four of six plays scored a failing grade. The Jags provided the lone spark with their performance in the Meadowlands.

Study Time – Week 4

If we are going to give a gold star to the top experts of the week, we also need to determine which experts might need to put in some extra study time to pull up those grades. Here are the Week 4 experts that didn’t make the grade this week.

  • Rotoballer (Score: 1.57) once again finds themselves at the bottom of the heap. Four grades of “D” or worse out of seven total plays.
  • Rotowire (Score: 1.38) had half of their eight selections finish with a failing grade.

Extra Credit – Week 4

In this section, I will look to give some extra credit to experts that received an A+ grade for a player where they were the lone expert to recommend. Week 4 extra credit goes to the following:

A+ – Tyler Kroft (Fantasy Alarm)
A+ – Ameer Abdullah (FantasyPros)
A+ – Wendell Smallwood (DK Playbook)
