While the NBA regular season is far from over, the NBA Value Index regular season will be complete after today.

But the Value Index shall return Monday with the start of the 2017 baseball season, which we all know, should be a national holiday by now.

The Index will run Monday through Friday each week for the MLB season. IF I am feeling limber, I MIGHT provide some weekend content. We have been given the green light to write weekend content, but I am not sure how much time I will be able to find to do such a thing. But yes, that’s a possibility.

Oh, and the MLB Index will be free all next week!

As you can tell, I am ready to move on to the baseball season. Basketball has been fun and it has been kind, but baseball is still the best of the four major sports in the United States.

But we must press on for the final Index of the NBA season and I think you will like the picks provided. Thanks to everyone who gave this a look this season. Hopefully, you found it useful and increased your bankroll.

Lou Williams – PG – Houston Rockets – $5,400

Analysis: Sweet Lou is benefiting from the absence of the plodding Ryan Anderson. He’s seeing all of the usage on the second unit with Eric Gordon moving to the starting rotation. This game just happened a few days ago, and Lou disappointed a bit. The minutes and the usage will be there tonight and there should be lots of points scored in this game. I am completely back in on Lou tonight.

Andre Iguodala – SG – Golden State Warriors – $4,500

Analysis: The elder AI is making a difference for Golden State in the absence of Kevin Durant. AI was one of my favorite cash game plays earlier in the year. His price was never above $3,900, but he would put up 20-25 points an outing. He;s had some high upside games at low prices since Durant’s departure, but then his price skyrocketed. It’s finally coming back down and he gets the Rockets once again, a team he is averaging 33 minutes per game and 24.2 fantasy points per game. Iggy will play some SG and some SF, both positions the Rockets struggle with defensively.

Nicolas Batum – SF – Charlotte Hornets – $6,900

Analysis: Tonight we have the Charlotte Hornets hosting the Denver Nuggets. I like this game to be a sneaky shootout. Batum has struggled in this matchup before, but he plays shooting guard, but is SF eligible on DraftKings. The Nuggets are by far the worst team in the league in fantasy points allowed per game to shooting guards. Giving up 47.5 FPPG this season to the opposition, Batum has the best defensive matchup on the board for SGs tonight.

DeMarcus Cousins – PF – New Orleans Pelicans – $9,600

Analysis: Well, well, well…Cousins first game against his old team? Yea, sign me up and i don’t even care if I lose because of it. I hope the Pelicans rest Anthony Davis tonight, just to make this matchup sweeter. Boogie should go absolutely nuts against the Kings, who allow nearly 60 fantasy points per game to PFs now that Boogie is gone. Say it with me, Boogie, Boogie, Boogie.

Nikola Jokic – C – Denver Nuggets – $9,100

Analysis: The Joker almost under $9K? I didn’t think we would see that ever again, but here we are with Jokic at his DraftKings’ price. The Hornets are allowing 58 fantasy points per game in their last 5 games and are top 10 in FP allowed to centers this season. The Joker put up nearly 60 fantasy points in the spot last time out. There’s no evidence here to think that Jokic can’t do it against Cody Zeller and Frank Kaminsky. Should Will Barton, Mason Plumlee, or any other players sit, that only boosts the usage for Jokic, which is already high.
