Today’s intro is short and sweet. We have 3 stacks for today’s slate that really stand out from Coors. There are some stud pitching options such as Chris Sale and Jacob deGrom (and Lance McCullers).

LOS ANGELES DODGERS

1. Justin Turner
2. Kike Hernandez
3. Matt Kemp
4. Chris Taylor

Analysis: Late-night hammer alert! The Dodgers get right-hander Joey Lucchesi, who isn’t the world’s worst pitcher. But if you are paying up for stud pitching, this is a stack with lots of power you can get into your lineups for a discount. I don’t care about PETCO, etc. I care about talent and this 4-man full of righties has all the talent needed for their price, plus power. Kemp and Turner have wOBAs against lefties at .408 and .397, respectively. Kike and Taylor’s wOBAs are in the .325 range, but have ISOs of .210 or better. All four should hit in the top half of the order on the road. Lucchesi has been OK against righties with a wOBA allowed of .314, but bats have been teeing off on him as he owns a .208 ISO and allowing 39% hard contact.

CLEVELAND INDIANS

1. Francisco Lindor
2. Jose Ramirez
3. Yonder Alonso
4. Michael Brantley

Analysis: I was surprised at the Cleveland ownership yesterday and I expect it to be about the same, if not lower, against Reds’ starter Tyler Mahle, who has been a batting practice pitcher for lefties this season. Against lefty bats, Mahle has allowed a .396 wOBA, .278 ISO, 46% hard contact and a 4.25 xFIP. Here are the wOBAs of Lindor, Ramirez, Alonso and Brantley, respectively – .377, .378, .433 and .341. As for their ISOs, here they are in that order, too – .293, .347, .189 and .205. The Indians are about as safe as they come for offense, especially for cash games, but it’s likely they will be worthy contrarian options to Coors and the Red Sox.

BOSTON RED SOX

1. Mookie Betts
2. J.D. Martinez
3. Andrew Benintendi
4. Xander Bogaerts
5. Mitch Moreland

Analysis: This 5-man stack are the top-5 hitters in this lineup today. All get to face Bartolo Colon in Fenway and against an awful Rangers’ bullpen. All five guys have ISOs of .230 or better against right-handed pitching and all have wOBAs of no less than .376. This stack is completely ridiculous, honestly and maybe should be the most popular one of the slate considering the opposing starting pitcher, Big Sexy. Colon has typically been susceptible to lefty bats, but he’s been more of a reverse-splits pitcher this season, allowing 46% hard contact to righties to go along with a .338 wOBA and .277 ISO. Against lefties, he owns a .317 wOBA, .178 ISO and 38% hard contact. Devers is a hard guy to leave out today, but there are plenty of 3B options. Against Colon in their careers, Betts is 1-for-4 with a bomb, J.D. is 4-for-14 with 2 bombs, Mitch is 4-for-15 with 2 bombs while Bogey and Super Nintendo are each 0-for-3 (so they are due). For what it’s worth, Devers is 2-for-3 with 2 home runs.
