How many weeks until Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season?

Too many to count, but we do have a 9-game MLB slate to tackle for today’s main slate of action on DraftKings.

This will be a slate where you can pay down at pitching and stack the top offenses available, so let’s reveal those options below shall we?

ATLANTA BRAVES

  1. Ronald Acuna
  2. Ozzie Albies
  3. Adam Duvall
  4. Johan Camargo
  5. Freddie Freeman

Analysis: Tommy Milone is back in our lives and today the Braves get to pounce on this southpaw journeyman. The Braves on my radar are those listed above, including new acquisition Adam Duvall, a lefty specialist. The team overall is third in wOBA against lefties and Freddie Freeman might go overlooked tonight due to the lefty/lefty matchup, yet he has a .418 wOBA against lefties this season. Camargo is another guy likely to go undervalued today even though he owns a .389 wOBA and .296 ISO against southpaws.

NEW YORK YANKEES

  1. Giancarlo Stanton
  2. Didi Gregorius
  3. Gleyber Torres
  4. Aaron Hicks

Analysis: Lucas. Giolito. He’s on this slate and the Yankees bats are in your lineups, especially the lefties. Hicks and Gregorius are remarkable plays today against Giolito’s .376 wOBA, 1.39 HR/9, 1.71 WHIP and 6.17 ERA/6.85 xFIP. Stanton is on a roll and creeping up the stat sheet against righties with a .325 wOBA and .190 ISO against. Torres is the best RH bat in this lineup against RH pitching, sporting a .356 wOBA and .250 ISO.

CLEVELAND INDIANS

  1. Jose Ramirez
  2. Francisco Lindor

Analysis: Jake Odorizzi has magically gifted us with horrible splits against lefties this season. Typically a reverse-splits pitcher, Odorizzi has allowed a .362 wOBA, 1.84 HR/9 rate, 36% hard contact rate and 5.12 xFIP against lefties this season. Lindor has the fast start against Odorizzi early in his career with 5 hits out of 11 ABs with 2 homers and 2 doubles in those plate appearances. Ramirez also has 2 bombs against Odorizzi, and is on another level this season, so plug him in despite his soaring price tag.

BOSTON RED SOX

  1. Mookie Betts
  2. J.D. Martinez
  3. Andrew Benintendi

Analysis: Last but certainly not least are the Boston Trio. They are on the road in Toronto tonight to take on a rookie coming off a fantastic road performance. Both Martinez and Betts are starting to heat up once again. It was one start, but Hauschild didn’t allow a home run while allowing 60% hard contact to lefties and 45% hard contact righties. I’ll take the Red Sox on the road in a hitter’s park against a rookie pitcher any day of the week, today is no exception.
