It was a bit of an odd week with Brad and Stephen on vacation. Stephen made his return last Friday in a big way by topping the daily leaderboard on the pitcher and hitter side to end the week. No changes to speak of in our season-long standings. The experts should have rested up over the break and will get back at it this Friday. I will not be writing a recap next week as there will only be one day of grades. I’ll combine Friday’s picks with the next recap. As always, check out our MLB Expert Standings to make sure that you’re up to speed on who is making the grade. Enjoy!

Also, don’t forget to sign up to be a premium member so that you don’t miss out on any content. We are still offering a FREE 7-DAY TRIAL and only $9.99/month after that. You’ll be glad you signed up!

In this article, I will give a brief recap of each day we gathered and graded the experts, including how the Industry Consensus picks did, highlighting which experts were at the top for the day and which players were only called out by one expert, but produced an “A+” grade. We will also review the overall standings and highlight the top experts so far this season.

As a reminder, we are currently gathering selections and publishing the MLB Industry Consensus article each weekday during the season, so be sure to check back about an hour or so before the first pitch of the first game to get a look at the consensus picks and sample lineups for the day. As an added bonus in 2017, we will publish the Consensus on weekends when we have a writer available. To begin the 2017 season, we will grade 20 experts that provide pitcher selections and 21 that provide hitter selections daily.

Leaderboard

The top-3 for both pitchers and hitters are below. Be sure to check out the full MLB Expert Standings to see how your favorite experts check out.

Pitchers

#1) DailyFantasyNerd (Score: 5.11) continued their surge bumping their score a slight .02. That was good enough to widen the gap over the competition.

#2) DailyFantasySportsRankings (Score: 5.00) stayed fairly level for the week and still maintained the coveted 5.0 threshold. DFSR will look to make a move in the 2nd half and regain 1st place.

#3) FantasyTeamAdvice (Score: 4.85) holds steady at #3. They also saw a slight dip of .02 in their score but nothing to worry about.

Hitters

#1) RotoGrinders 6-Pack (Score: 3.13) took another step back last week but still has a comfortable lead atop the expert scoreboard.

#2) FantasyTeamAdvice (Score: 3.00) put together a solid week of picks to climb to the 3.0 threshold. They’ve close the gap but still have some major work to do in order to compete for the top spot.

#3) Daily Overlay – On the Hill (Score: 2.84) held steady this week…because Brad was on vacation. He’ll get back after it this Friday in hopes of making a 2nd half run.
