We kick off the first week of June with a change as Stephen will start to produce a Cash and GPP sample lineup for FantasyDraft using the Consensus list and our “rules” below. I look forward to seeing what he can do on the new site. Meanwhile, Matt (FanDuel) and I (DraftKings) will keep plugging away to try and produce winning lineups. We are still looking for that huge week and I have a feeling this might be it.

Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:

  1. We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
  2. For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
  3. For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
  4. We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.

Entrant – Matt – FanDuel

Cash Game Lineup

fdf50506.6

Cash Narrative – Some late night options so I’ll have to double check before lock. Pillar is the off the board play in the Cash game tonight.

GPP Lineup

 fdgpp6.6

GPP Narrative – Not crazy about Shoemaker but he offers nice upside against a (still) struggling Yankees offense. Stack of Tigers and mini-stacks of Rays and Cubs. No off the board plays in this lineup tonight.

Entrant – Brad- DraftKings

Cash Game Lineup

Cash

Cash Narrative – A lot of solid value hitters on the Consensus list tonight and paying up for Lester and Tanaka.

GPP Lineup

GPP

GPP Narrative – Sticking with my Suited Connectors concept featuring four pairs of hitters on the top Vegas runs offenses (Cubs, Tigers, Astros, Rangers) with only one off the board play in David Ross. At pitcher I was still able to pay up for Lester and pair him with a “wild card” with big upside and downside in Archer.

Entrant – Stephen- FantasyDraft

Cash Game Lineup

Cash - 6-6-16

Cash Narrative – I can’t say that Shoemaker makes a very friendly cash game pitcher, but he has upside, is pitching well and the Yankees are awful. I like Rays, Cubs, Rangers and ‘Stros tonight (even though I should like DBacks considering I can’t trust Archer, so I should play someone against him. Anyway, this is FantasyDraft for me now and I love it because I am not bound to choosing catchers and pricing allows for you to make some ridiculous lineups. Bye bye, FantasyAces, I hardly knew ye!

GPP Lineup

GPP 6-6-16

GPP Narrative – Before I read On the Hill by the amazing Brad, who is slaying his picks, I was a James Paxton lover tonight at home against the Indians who strike out 21% of the time against lefties and are near the bottom of the pack against them overall. Paxton was shelled on the road in his first outing filling in for the injured Felix Hernandez, so I am betting that he turns it around in the pitcher-friendly confines of SAFECO. He’s one of my off-the-board plays. Adrian Beltre is the other, slapping around Fiers 3-out-of-6 times in his career, which I like considering Fiers is a reverse-splits pitcher. I am sticking with a lot of the same players from my previous lineup, though fading Kris Bryant makes me nervous, but a solid tournament play if he busts, again, for the third day in a row against a mediocre lefty. Good luck all!
