New week, time to put last week behind us and start cashing!

Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:

  1. We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
  2. For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
  3. For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
  4. We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.

Cash Game Lineup

Cash Narrative – Let’s just completely erase last week from all our heads. Back at it on the FanDuel side of things. Kershaw has been dominant this season and I wanted to get him in. Had to go with some cheaper Consensus options in order to make that happer; however, I was able to do so with no off the board plays.

GPP Lineup

 fdgpp6.20

GPP Narrative – I’ll pick on Derek Holland a bit tonight in the blast furnace of Arlington. I’ll play four O’s (including Hardy as an off the board, upside guy). Two short stacks to go with those O’s in HanRam-Betts and Seager-Cruz. Fister has been shoving the last couple starts so let’s hope that continues.

Cash Game Lineup

Cash

Cash Narrative – Going with Bumgarner over Kershaw and Strasburg tonight as you may know from my On the Hill article today and pairing him with a cheap Smyly with strikeout upside. On the hitting side, I was able to get three Mariners who should be chalky against Mike Pelfrey and thanks to a min-priced Contreras at catcher I was still able to get some more solid bats, all from the Consensus.

GPP Lineup

GPP

GPP Narrative – I am going cheap at pitcher with my GPP lineup tonight with Fister and an off the board play of De La Rosa. With the cheap pitchers, I was able to load up on power hitters. I’m hoping for a bunch of homers from my hitters and solid 20-point performances from my pitchers.

Cash Game Lineup

6-20-16 Cash

Cash Narrative – I think I am in a 6-slate drought of cashing anything, something has to give, right? I am playing tonight a little differently. I guess you could say it’s backward because i don’t have Stras, Kersh or Bumgarner in my cash game lineup. Lackey isn’t someone I love paying up for, but I am a BvP person. He has lit up the Cardinals with Ks this year. In two starts, he has more than 20 Ks against the Redbirds. Something tells me he knows what he is doing against his former team. Also, I had to go off the board with Stanton. He’s far too cheap on FantasyDraft and I think his bat has woken up. I do have 2 catchers in my lineup above, and anytime I’ve had more than one, that hasn’t gone well. What the hell though, right?

GPP Lineup

6-20-16 GPP

GPP Narrative – I wasn’t going to shy away from Kershaw at all tonight, so I’ve paired him with a much cheaper pitcher to fit in bats. Stanton and McCutchen, both of whom are so ridiculously cheap, make my lineups tonight. I love the lineup above and I think it all hinges on Smyly making sure he has his stuff under control, otherwise, it’s going to be another night of suckage for me. I think Trumbo is undervalued tonight in the heat against the extremely fly-ball and home run prone Derek Holland. Good luck all!
