Stephen is still on a roll with this FantasyDraft lineups as he cashed with both his 50/50 and GPP lineups again on Wednesday. He has now cashed with 6 of his last 8 Cash game lineups and four straight GPP lineups including one Top 2 finish (out of 340 entries).  If you aren’t checking out his lineups you are missing out. I was able to get a win with my Cash game lineup on DraftKings last night so I will look to continue the positive momentum tonight. Hope everyone has a profitable start to the weekend!

Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:

  1. We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
  2. For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
  3. For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
  4. We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.

Cash Game Lineup

fd50507.29

Cash Narrative – Why is Nolan Arenado so cheap on FD? I know it’s Steven Matz and Arenado hasn’t been lighting the world on fire but c’mon. Maeda should rack up strikeouts but can hopefully avoid the longball. The Diamondbacks have already burned me once this week in our Construction articles (See: Jimmy Nelson). My off the board play is Khris, or should I say Krush, Davis.

GPP Lineup

 fdgpp7.29

GPP Narrative – I’ll obey the Consensus and stack Astros. I think the ownership on the Red Sox bats will be astronomical, and rightfully so. A small stack of Reds in Votto and Bruce along with the dirt-cheap Arenado. Off the board plays are Hazelbaker and Nova. I hate playing Ivan Nova but he’s been really, really good in his last four starts. Let’s hope that continues!

Cash Game Lineup

Cash

Cash Narrative – Couldn’t find enough value bats to fit in Scherzer tonight so going with Maeda and Matz as two solid plays both pitching at home as big favorites. On the hitting side, every hitter I picked from the Consensus list has home run upside so I am expecting a few bombs from this lineup.

GPP Lineup

GPP

GPP Narrative – Going with two mini-stacks from the Consensus list tonight with Astors (Springer/Altuve/Correa) and Blue Jays (Bautista/Donaldson/Encarnacion) then grabbing two of my favorite hitters to go deep tonight with McCann at catcher and Kemp in the outfield. On the pitching side, I am grabbing two pitchers with big strikeout upside with Valasquez against the Braves and a dirt cheap Brault aginst the Brewers.

Cash Game Lineup

FND Cash

Cash Narrative – Sounds like Brad has laid the jinx on me tonight with the intro, but that’s OK. Perhaps my streak can quell any potential jinx. Anyway, I like a lot of players tonight, especially at pitcher. I hate that I am fading Max tonight despite facing a struggling Giants team. The price and K upside isn’t there for me, even though he can probably pitch a CGSO, no hitter or even a perfect game in that ballpark. Velasquez and Matz allow me to put in a lot of top bats tonight and I believe both are in favorable matchups. Byron Buxton is an off-the-board punt of which I rostered in name only. I also enter cash lineups in 1 GPP just in case it does well. I like this lineup better than my GPP.

GPP Lineup

FND GPP

GPP Narrative – Brault worries me the most. I wanted to go with Mike Leake against the Marlins, but I couldn’t fit the bats I liked without straying too far off the Consensus. Brault is up against a Braun-less Brewers squad. Though a flyball pitcher, I am hopeful Brault can rack up the Ks and limit the damage in that park. Lindor (one of many BvP plays tonight) and Cespedes are off-the-board plays. Travis D’Arnaud was in this lineup as he is hitting in the two-hole against a reverse-splits Chatwood, so since I ended up fading him, I wanted you to know that I had him so you can take him and capitalize off of my mistake. Donaldson and Davis make this lineup as well as Kemp. Actually, this lineup ended up having a lot of my BvP plays for tonight (sigh, damn).
