My Cash game lineup did very well on DraftKings yesterday finishing in 5th place out of 100 entries. I think it is always worth throwing your Cash game lineup into a single entry GPP. My Cash game lineup would have finished 58th out of 2352 in the $1 Single Entry tourney. No Coors Field on the night slate but that should make things interesting. Check out tonight’s lineups…

Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:

  1. We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
  2. For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
  3. For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
  4. We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.

Cash Game Lineup

fd50508.9

Cash Narrative – Freddie Freeman finally has someone behind him in the lineup for protection. That means he’s consistently showing up on our Consensus list. I love Sale even though the Royals don’t strikeout much. Several Blue Jays in this lineup as well as my GPP one. Piscotty is the lone play without a teammate to accompany him tonight.

GPP Lineup

 fdgpp8.9

GPP Narrative – Stacks of Blue Jays with Martin, Donaldson, Tulo and Bautista. I’ve stacked the Jays plenty of times this season and I don’t remember it paying off quite yet which means tonight is the night. I cheated a bit and went off the board three times because I wanted to stack Padres and Schimpf was the lone Consensus play. I complemented Schimpf with Myers and Dickerson. My other off the board play is Conforto, who homered in his last start. Lackey has been up and down this season so let’s hope tonight is one of those “up” nights.

Cash Game Lineup

Cash

Cash Narrative – Scooped up the best value options from the Consensus at every hitter position except for catcher where I went off the board with McCann. Even with selecting the value options at hitter, I was still unable to pay up for Scherzer so I am pairing two solid value pitchers who are both big favorites tonight.

GPP Lineup

GPP

GPP Narrative – Going with a couple “chalky” stacks tonight with a Blue Jays stack featuring all five players from the Consensus list and a three-man Cubs stack swapping in Fowler instead of Contreras. With the high-priced chalk stack on the hitting side, I had to go off the board with both of my pitchers tonight, grabbing Santiago, who I like tonight against a struggling Astros’ lineup and Bauer to be contrarian against Scherzer.

Cash Game Lineup

Cash

Cash Narrative – Not thrilled with this cash game lineup because I feel that Martin, Mahtook (off-the-board) and Schimpf, plus the A’s stack is very tournament-esque, but the Consensus is thin, so what the hell?

GPP Lineup

 GPP

GPP Narrative – Michael Saunders is my favorite GPP play of the night. He is a BvP play for me and people will be off of him because of the lefty-lefty matchup not realizing that Smyly has been awful against lefties and Saunders has killed lefties this season. Ortiz and Cruz are all BvP plays as well. I subbed Ozuna and Stanton because I didn’t like the lineup I was coming up with, so get them in your lineups because I subbed out. J.D. Martinez and Edinson Volquez are both off-the-board plays as well as Saunders.
