We’ve added some experts which has made our Expert Consensus for Week Eight the most robust one yet.  Let’s welcome Fantacy Aces’ Tap In To Mac as well as a couple of guys from venoDFS.com.  Only time will tell if they are up to snuff.  They will have to post some big weeks to keep pace with our top-5 guys, who have created a good bit of separation from the others in our season-long Daily Overlay Scores.  This weekly article, our Daily Overlay Expert Consensus sits in 6th currently and is just off the pace that is being set by the top guys.  As we’ve grown accustomed to saying, RotoGrinders continues to dominate the top of the leaderboard, filling out four of the top-5 slots.

A bit of a down week for television viewing.  I’ll be interested to see the Vols take their show on the road to Tuscaloosa.  I’m a big fan of the talent the Vols put out on the field and they have the potential to shock the Houndstooth-wearing elephants in their own building.  Two interesting games in the ACC as Clemson and Florida State both head to the road as touchdown favorites.  The Tigers head to South Beach to face the Hurricanes and the ‘Noles go to the ATL and take on the Yellow Jackets.  Georgia Tech has been one of the bigger disappointments so far this season but a win on Saturday would put a boost in the steps of Paul Johnson’s crew.

The Consensus had the worst week so far this season in Week Seven with clunkers at all three positions.  It wasn’t just the Consensus that took a step back last week either.  It sounds sad to say that Daily Overlay Scores in the 5’s are bad but after some of the craziness we had seen in Weeks 4-6 it was strange to see realistic scores for a change.  Let’s get to the picks.

Quarterback

Highly Touted

Seth Russell (9x) – Surprise, it’s me.  Seth Russell is our top QB pick once again and rightfully so.

Greg Ward (8x) – This guy has created a consistent presence within our Consensus.  He leads one of the top offenses in the country.

Baker Mayfield (7x) – Mayfield takes on a Tech defense that has been vulnerable against the pass.

Recommended

Marquise Williams (5x) – The UNC offense has hit its stride of late.  Williams will put up points, no matter the defense he’s up against.

Suggested

JT Barrett (4x) – Barrett is now the starter in Columbus.  He takes over a unit full of talent and ready to explode.

Trevone Boykin (4x) – Falk has gone over 300 yards in all but one game this season.  The Wazzu offense is built for a passer like Falk.

Chad Kelly (3x) – Kelly will look to bounce back from a tough loss at Memphis last week.  Kelly has been hit-or-miss this season.

Patrick Mahomes (3x) – The Sooners defense seems to have figures things out a bit; however, if the Red Raiders O-line can protect Mahomes, he will light it up in Norman.  And if they can’t protect him, he’ll just use his legs to get out of trouble.

Jerrod Heard (3x) – Heard looked like a reincarnation of Vince Young against Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago.  We will see what wrinkles play caller Jay Norvell was able to put in during the off week.

Brett Rypien (3x) – The BSU offense took it on the chin against Utah State their last time out.  The freshman, Rypien, is a stud and should bounce back accordingly.

Running Back

Highly Touted

Derrick Henry (9x) – Henry and Bama are rolling.  He’s a safe play against anyone at this point.

Saquon Barkley (8x) – Barkley proved his worth against Ohio State last week.  He’ll get a chance to eat into a soft Maryland defense on Saturday.

Reccomended

Leonard Fournette (6x) – Nothing to say here.  The best CFB running back and there’s no question about it.

Shock Linkwood (5x) – Linwood often gets overlooked thanks to Russell and Corey Coleman.  He’s going to get his yards each week.

Justin Jackson (5x) – Northwestern has struggled of late.  Their best bet is to hand it to their best player over and over.

Suggested

Kareem Hunt (3x) – Hunt and Toledo just can’t be stopped.  He’s struggled of late but should break out against a bad UMASS defense.

Nick Wilson (3x) – When healthy, Wilson is one of the top backs in the land.

Alex Collins (3x) – Collins was a mainstay in our Consensus the first few weeks but it’s been a while since we’ve seen him.  He was shut down by Alabama last week.

Wayne Gallman (3x) – The Clemson offense has had no trouble scoring this season.  The BC defense knocked Gallman down a notch last week.

Elijah Hood (3x) – Hood averaged over 12 yards per carry in UNC’s last game against Wake.

Jeremy McNichols (3x) – BSU should get back to their old selves against a bad Wyoming squad on Saturday.

Wide Receiver

Highly Touted

Gabe Marks (10x) – The Wazzu offense slings it everywhere and Marks is their top target.

Corey Coleman (8x) – Same story, different week.  Coleman has already set a single season TD mark for Baylor…and we’re only halfway through 2015.

Recommended

Aaron Burbridge (6x) – It helps when you have an NFL quarterback throwing you the ball and Conner Cook is just that.

Roger Lewis (6x) – Lewis makes his usual appearance in the Consensus.

Tajae Sharpe (6x) – Same things as Lewis.  Sharpe is here once again.

Suggested

Tyler Boyd (4x) – He may not have a good QB throwing him the ball but he’s still one of the top wideouts in the country.

JuJu Smith-Schuster (3x) – JuJu takes on the Utah defense which has dominated opponents all season.  Should be an interesting matchup and an interesting game.

Laquon Treadwell (3x) – When Chad Kelly is right, Treadwell is going to put up big numbers.  I think he’s set for a big day against a vulnerable A&M secondary.

River Cracraft (3x) – Cracraft is the 2nd option in a Wazzu offense that might throw it 70 times on Saturday.

Demarcus Ayers (3x) – Ayers is a nice stack option if you choose to play Greg Ward.  The combo has become a formidable option in DFS.

Sterling Shepard (3x) – The OU offense went nuts in Manhattan last week.  I don’t expect that again but they should put up 40+ against Texas Tech on Saturday.

Rodney Mills (3x) – If you don’t play Tajae Sharpe, play Mills.  Mills is the 2nd option in the UMASS offense and they should be playing from behind all day which means a lot of slinging the pigskin.

Dom Williams (3x) – Another Wazzu wideout option.  Play at your own risk.  I’d be careful straying from the Marks-Cracraft combo.

It’s late and I’m tired.  There are plenty of great options for this week.  With added experts, we have additional Consensus picks.  Good luck and let’s get that cash!
