MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – May 3rd

Judging by the DFS experts there will be no such thing as a chalk pick or lineup for the big 15-game MLB slate on Wednesday. This should lead to ownership percentages to also be very spread out, so find the players that you have a conviction for and play them even in tournaments without trying […]

MLB – On the Hill (3 Up / 3 Down) – May 3

Another huge 15-game slate for Wednesday night. Looking at pitching for today’s slate it feels like you either need to pay up for one (or two) or the top ace pitchers or drop way down to the value options as the mid-priced pitching options scream BLOW UP to me today. Also with a big 15-game slate, there are a lot of stacks that I like, I will still only highlight three but will also give a couple others to consider.

MLB – On the Hill (3 Up / 3 Down) – May 2

Through the first month of the MLB season, my hitter stack recommendations are leading all MLB industry experts in the Overall Standings. Last night wasn’t the best night with the Cubs only scoring two runs but at least a few of my Astros and Pirates hitters put up some points. Hopefully, you also had some […]

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – May 1st

We have an 11-game MLB slate on Monday night to start off the week including high-priced ace pitcher Clayton Kershaw and some games with the wind blowing out including Wrigley Field. While Kershaw is on the list of pitchers recommended by the experts, the Cubs do not lead the way when it comes to stacks.

The Weighted Consensus for the MLB is where we publish a more in-depth version of the MLB Consensus rankings every day that considers each expert’s current DailyOverlay score to generate a Weighted Consensus ranking.  To calculate the Weighted Rank Score, each expert’s DailyOverlay score for hitters and pitchers is weighted on a sliding scale from 1 to 5 with the top expert in the current standings being weighted with a five while the last place expert is weighted with a one. This method gives the higher rated expert’s picks more weight when compiling the overall player rankings for the day. We will include all players that generate a Rank Score of at least 6.0.

MLB – On the Hill (3 Up / 3 Down) – May 1

Apparently, my Adam Conley senses aren’t in tune yet this year. Enough talk of him, let’s move on to the 11-game Monday night slate to kick off the month of May. It is a Clayton Kershaw night, so we will need to examine if there are other strong options that make it worth fading him […]

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – April 28th

Friday night features a full 15-game slate of MLB action that has a little bit of everything from ace pitchers to six different stacks of hitters to consider. There is also some nice value options at pitcher and every hitter spot to allow you to pay up at some spots. Should be wide open slate!

MLB – On the Hill (3 Up / 3 Down) – April 28

Of course, the one hitter in the Diamondbacks’ lineup that I didn’t write about yesterday, Chris Owings, ends up being the one with the biggest day. Hopefully, you were able to include him in a lineup or two after Aledmys Diaz wasn’t in the starting lineup. I had some exposure to him but not enough.

Friday night features a full 15-game slate that doesn’t seem to have obvious teams to stack up hitters for so I will be including four 3-man stacks instead of three 4-man stack options for tonight. On the pitching side of things, it is the first day that I am doing a write up when Adam Conley is on the mound. For those that followed my columns last season, I was somewhat of an “Adam Conley Whisperer” navigating his up and down season hitting most of the highs and very few of the lows. MLB – On the Hill (3 Up / 3 Down) – April 27

Thursday night features a mini four-game slate to breakdown. While I will give three pitching recommendations, as usual, my hitter stacks will look a little different tonight for the small slate. Chris Sale is the only true ace pitcher on the slate and it will be difficult to pay up for Sale and still get the hitters you really want, so I have added a “Get Chris Sale” stack option for tonight’s slate.

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – April 26th

Another day another game at Coors Field and also another game postponed. Yesterday saw three games get postponed and we already have another one today (Blue Jays/Cardinals), so I have removed all players from that game from the Consensus including Carlos Martinez. I have also removed Noah Syndergaard from the Consensus who will be replaced […]

MLB – On the Hill (3 Up / 3 Down) – April 26

Tuesday was a strong night for my pitcher recommendations, so let’s see if we can keep the momentum going on Wednesday night’s 12-game slate where there are a lot of solid options to choose from. We also have another game in Coors Field where the cold, rainy weather didn’t slow down the offenses last night with 27 runs combined. We could see more of the same tonight.

MLB – On the Hill (3 Up / 3 Down) – April 25

Clayton Kershaw or Coors Field, Coors Field or Clayton Kershaw? That will be the question DFS players will need to answer for the 14-game Tuesday night slate. Weather will also be a factor to pay close attention to with rain expected for a few games and wind that seems like it will be blowing in […]

MLB – Industry Expert Consensus – April 24th

Monday features a nine-game slate and it’s time for another series at Coors Field with Nationals traveling to Colorado. So, of course, the hitting side is full of Rockies and Nationals hitters. They will cost you but without any really high-priced aces on the mound and some good value arms to choose, Rockies and Nationals hitters will be very popular even at their high salaries.
