Welcome to the Industry Expert Consensus picks for Week 11 of the NFL season. As always, if you want to see how the experts performed last week check out my Week 10 Industry Expert Grading column and the Industry Expert Standings for all experts. So far this season the Consensus picks are sitting near the middle of the pack in the overall standings.

It looks like a very chalky week this week. Every position has some clear cut options that the experts like this week. At quarterback, it is Derek Carr and then everyone else. Running back features a handful of options that rise to the top for you to choose from with a nice mix of high priced and less expensive options. Wide receiver is a little more bunched together and also has quite a few middle priced or cheaper options to look at. Then there is tight end where it looks like it is Rob Gronkowski or bust. With all of the common selections by the experts this week, we could see a lot of similar cash game lineups and if the chalk goes off then we may need some high scores to cash this week.

As a reminder, the number in the parenthesis is the number of experts that chose that player so you have more context regarding the gaps between players and the tiers.

Here are the consensus plays for Week 11…

Quarterbacks

Highly Touted

  • Derek Carr (16) – Carr is by far the most touted QB this week, he has thrown 2+ TDs in 4 straight games and get a favorable matchup with the Lions this week

Recommended

  • Matthew Stafford (11) – On the other side of the field from Carr, the Raiders haven’t been too good against opposing QBs either
  • Cam Newton (11) – Has at least 2 TDs in every game expect the season opener
  • Tom Brady (10) – Lit up the Bills for 466 yards and 3 TDs earlier this year
  • Tyrod Taylor (8) – Had 4 total TDs when he faced the Patriots in Week 2
  • Mark Sanchez (8) – Sanchez will start with Sam Bradford out, inexpensive option

Suggested

  • Aaron Rodgers (5) – The fantasy production has been there the last couple of weeks even though the wins have not
  • Carson Palmer (5) – Five-point favorite in one of the highest Vegas totals
  • Matt Ryan (4) – Ryan has not thrown for more than 2 TDs in a game this season
  • Philip Rivers (3) – He is running short on healthy receivers to throw to

Running Backs

Highly Touted

  • Charcandrick West (19) – West has 120+ total yards and at least 1 TD in 3 straight games and faces the weak Chargers run defense this week
  • Darren McFadden (16) – McFadden popped up on the injury report mid-week, watch his status before playing him
  • Adrian Peterson (14) – Peterson has scored a TD in 6 straight regular season games against the Packers
  • Lamar Miller (13) – Miller has scored in 5 straight games and he faces a Cowboys defense that has given up 10 TDs to running backs this season
  • Devonta Freeman (12) – Falcons are coming off a bye week, so Freeman should be ready to resume his workhorse role

Recommended

  • Todd Gurley (7) – Has scored in 4 straight games
  • DeMarco Murray (6) – Could see increased touches with Ryan Matthews out

Suggested

  • Latavius Murray (4) – Faces Lions defense that has given up a league-worst 12 rushing TDs

  • Marshawn Lynch (3) – Watch the injury report to make sure he plays, but he has a nice matchup against the 49ers

  • Michael Crabtree (11) – Pick your favorite Raiders receiver this week
  • Amari Cooper (10) – Pick your favorite Raiders receiver this week
  • Danny Amendola (10) – Expected to get the targets that usually went to Julian Edelman, inexpensive option

Recommended

  • Stevie Johnson (9) – One of the only healthy WRs left for the Chargers, inexpensive option
  • Brandon LaFell (7) – Has 6+ targets in all 4 games played, could also see more targets with Edelman out
  • Dez Bryant (6) – Looks like Tony Romo will be back, good news for Dez
  • Larry Fitzgerald (5) – The healthiest WR left for the Cardinals
  • Brandon Marshall (5) – Only 67 total yards the last 2 weeks, but he did score in both games

Suggested

  • Demaryius Thomas (4) – Let’s see if Brock Osweiler can get him in the end zone
  • Jordan Matthews (4) – Seemed to have a connection with Sanchez last year
  • Tavon Austin (4) – Big play potential going against a weak Ravens pass defense
  • Sammy Watkins (3) – Bills might need to pass more if they are in catchup mode against Patriots

Tight Ends

Highly Touted

  • Rob Gronkowski (19) – Expensive, but try to fit him in

Recommended

  • Greg Olsen (9) – Leads Panthers in targets, catches, yards, and TDs
  • Antonio Gates (7) – Playing hurt, but is the receiver Rivers likely trusts the most
  • Travis Kelce (7) – Has at least 5 catches in each of his last 4 games
  • Eric Ebron (6) – Experts still like TEs playing against the Raiders
  • Jordan Reed (6) – Has 5 TDs in last 3 weeks
  • Tyler Eifert (5) – Capable of multiple TDs any week

Suggested
