Rotowire put an absolute hurting on the rest of the field in Week 10! They managed to significantly bump their overall score while sweeping all the positional categories for the week. With the overall bump in score during a week in which most experts took a step back, they are now in command of our overall season-long standings. On to the Week 10 grades, class is in session!

Consensus Recap – Week 10

Another week, another plethora of picks from the Consensus! Fifty-four total picks hauled in a 10th place finish but a fairly poor Daily Overlay score of 2.63. Twenty-two of those picks finished with a failing grade while we only had seven “A+” scores. A position-by-position breakdown is below.

QB (Score: 3.56 / Rank 8th out of 21) – A lower score but much higher finish in Week 10. The highlights were “A+” grades from CJ Beathard and Jared Goff (two weeks in a row for Goff!).

RB (Score: 1.10 / Rank 11th out of 21) – Pee-ewwww!! That smell is from the RB picks from our experts this past week. The Consensus may have finished 11th but six of the 11 plays scored a failing grade.

WR (Score: 2.37 / Rank 15th out of 21) – The WR spot was the best position for the experts this past week. Nine of the 19 Consensus plays finished with failing grades but “A+” scores from Sterling Shepard and Robert Woods kept the Consensus afloat.

TE (Score: 3.90 / Rank 10th out of 21) – The Consensus performed pretty well at the TE spot. “A+” scores from value plays Garrett Celek and Austin Hooper were the standouts.

D/ST (Score: 2.50 / Rank T-11th out of 20) – Four of the six plays had a failing grade with an “A+” from the Rams being the lone bright spot.

Head of the Class – Week 10

Each week I will highlight a few of the top experts for the week. Here are the experts that deserve a “gold star” for Week 10 based on their cumulative grades for all players they touted this week.

#1) Rotowire (Score: 6.57) was the lone standout in Week 10. Five of their seven plays scored “A” or better including “A+” grades from Kirk Cousins, Sterling Shepard, Austin Hooper and the Rams D/ST. Rotowire was the only expert site to recommend Cousins and his “A+” grade.

#2A) DailyRoto (Score: 3.67) made a notch for the volume pickers in Week 10. Eleven of their 30 plays finished with an “A” or better including eight “A+” scores.

#2B) RotoGrinders Lineup Builder (Score: 3.67) scored “A” or better with three of their nine optimizer plays. Two “A+” grades came from Garrett Celek and the Rams D/ST.

Top Value – Rotowire (3.55 DK Pts/$1000) took the “Top Value” title this week.

Head of the Class – Week 10 (By Position)

Sometimes there is just that one class that you excel in. In this section, I will highlight who the top experts were at each position for Week 10.

QB – Rotowire(10.00) played Kirk Cousins and his “A+” score to take the top spot. They were the lone expert to play Cousins.

RB – Rotowire (3.00) somehow managed the top spot with that low score. They got an “A” from Todd Gurley and a “D” from Carlos Hyde.

WR – Rotowire (5.00) continued their dominance at the WR spot. Their two plays were an “A+” from Sterling Shepard and a failing grade from Corey Davis.

TE – RotoGrinders Lineup Builder, Rotowire, DailyFantasyNerd (10.00) all pulled in perfect scores. Rotowire and DFN did it with Austin Hooper while RGLB played Celek.

DST – RotoGrinders Lineup Builder, Rotowire (10.00) both utilized the Rams to tie for 1st. Rotowire made it a clean sweep across the board at all positions in Week 10!

Study Time – Week 10

If we are going to give a gold star to the top experts of the week, we also need to determine which experts might need to put in some extra study time to pull up those grades. Here are the Week 10 experts that didn’t make the grade this week.

  • Sportsline (Score: 1.44) made it back-to-back weeks in the bottom-2. Five of their nine plays finished with a failing grade.
  • Rotoballer (Score: 1.25) saw six of their eight plays finish with a “D” or lower grade including four failing ones.

Extra Credit – Week 10

In this section, I will look to give some extra credit to experts that received an A+ grade for a player where they were the lone expert to recommend. Week 10 extra credit goes to the following:

A+ – Mark Ingram (DailyRoto)
A+ – Kirk Cousins (Rotowire)

Head of the Class – Season

Here are the top experts in the Overall Standings after Week 10 of the season, including which site has provided the top DraftKings points per $1000 of salary. We had a slight shakeup at the top this week.

#1) Rotowire (Score: 4.08) made a leap when everyone else dropped back. They’ve opened up a solid cushion between themselves and the rest of the experts.

#2) FantasyTeamAdvice (Score: 3.68) held steady at #2 though they lost quite a bit of ground on Rotowire and the top spot.

#3) RotoGrinders Lineup Builder (Score: 3.63) stayed flat, which is quite the accomplishment considering most folks took a dive. The flat score propelled them up two spots to #3.

#4) GoingFor2 (Score: 3.56) fell back .18 points to drop them a spot in the overall rankings.

#5) ProFootballFocus (Score: 3.48) hops into the top-5 for the first time this year despite their score dropping a bit.
