Matt won with his FanDuel Cash game lineup yesterday as did I with my DraftKings Cash game lineup making 15 cashes with my last 19 lineups. Tonight looks like fun slate with some upside pitchers to consider and some gas can hurlers to pick on. Let’s see if we can get a big GPP win to move our season totals onto the plus side.

Here is a list of the “rules” we are following when constructing lineups:

  1. We will make two separate lineups for each site (FanDuel and DraftKings), one for Cash games and one for GPP tournaments.
  2. For Cash games, we will build the core of our lineup from the Consensus list using any player listed regardless of what tier they are in and will be allowed to choose 1 player that is not on the Consensus list that we consider to be a good play.
  3. For GPP games, we are allowed to choose up to add 2-3 players that are not on the Consensus list to help complete a hitter stack or we consider to be a good play.
  4. We can modify any lineup as we see fit for any late-breaking lineup news that opens up good options even if they are not on the Consensus list.

As always be sure to check for late-breaking news regarding weather and lineups.

Cash Game Lineup

fd50508.30

Cash Narrative – I like Greinke in the matchup of aces in the Bay Area. A lot of power potential and middle of the order hitters in my lineup tonight. Only off the board play is Franklin Gutierrez. Even with Hamels on the mound, I still like Gutierrez and his ability to mash against left-handed pitching.

GPP Lineup

GPP Narrative – Let’s ride the Cardinals power wave. All the do is hit homeruns…literally. They don’t manufacture runs whatsoever so let’s hope the longball train continues full steam ahead against Wily Peralta. I’ll also play a stack of Reds in Votto, Duvall and Hamilton against Jerad Weaver. Picking on two sub-par pitchers tonight. My lone play outside the stacks is Russell Martin who continues to hit in the cleanup spot of a powerful Jays lineup. Graveman at the pitcher position is an off the board play but he’s been dominant of late. I’ll use the “injury” substitute (loosely applied here) in that Moss isn’t starting tonight so Carpenter slides over to first base to get in Peralta and Piscotty (the PP boys…hehe).

Cash Game Lineup

Cash

Cash Narrative – There were quite a few good value hitters on the Consensus tonight such as Calhoun, Dickerson and Lucroy all for $3,500 or less. I went off the board with another cheap option using Tyler Collins batting second for the Tigers tonight. With all the value I was able to get two pitchers, who I expect to put up some solid fantasy production.

GPP Lineup

GPP

GPP Narrative – My GPP lineup may look familiar on the hitting side as I am going with the exact same hitters across the board. I figure my Cash lineups have been so solid finishing in the top 10% numerous times over the last few weeks that I would basically roll with the same lineup. Only difference is at pitcher where I pay up for Scherzer who is capable of a huge game and pay down for Norris who was my Darkhorse pick today.

One Lineup to Rule Them All

Lineup Analysis: I am completely off my rocker today. My lineups is filled with off-the-board plays. Desmond, Bruce, Pearce and Gomez are all off-the-board. Why? I don’t effing know. I guess I threw up in my mouth a little bit trying to put this thing together in a hurry, on a computer I never use. I still like Scherzer, but felt I could get more value out of Teheran and Greinke. My one lineup cashed in both cash and GPP tournies, so hopefully we can continue the streak tonight despite my inability to follow the rules.
